The owners purchased the 42 Ford Business coupe in June 2004, after a lengthy pursuit of on again off again discussions of the sale. The car disappeared for awhile and the owners thought it was sold out of state, but a new short block was installed and they ran into the seller again and made a deal.

Jim bought the car for Denise to drive because she says he has too many rules when driving the 31 coupe, like you know, turn the fan on at this temperature and off at this temperature, besides there aren’t too many creature comforts in the 31 coupe, a heater and that’s it. Haven’t done much to the 42 coupe, changed the oil, repaired some leaks, Dyno Tuned the motor, installed Bilstein shocks on all four corners, ball milled wire looms and new purple Taylor wires, polished 160 amp alternator, and tear drop spot lights. Looking for new tires and wheels and a little more rumble out of the exhaust system but this car is ready for its film debut.

This absolutely beautiful 1942 Ford Business Coupe is not available for stunts, driving, or situations - scenes that involve unnecessary movement of the vehicle, or anything the owner may deem as hazardous to the vehicle. This automobile is frequently displayed at numerous car shows throughout San Diego County
